Covid-19 Advice

It looks like Covid-19 may be with us for some while.  To put you at your ease, please find below some advice when taking a Norfolk Walking Holiday.

I successfully saw through a number of booked walks during the late autumn of 2020 and rebooked those that wanted to delay into 2021.  Hopefully 2022 and beyond will be a little more stable.

Frequently asked Covid-19 Questions

What happens if you are unable to carry out my holiday due to Covid 19?

I monitor the situation regularly, and will do so right up to the moment you are due to travel.  If Iā€™m unable to carry out your holiday due to Covid-19 restrictions, I will offer to postpone it until a further date, or refund your money in full (less any deposits paid on accommodation).

Is my money protected?

Your money is kept in a separate account and can easily be refunded, or will be kept in the separate account until you take your holiday.

What if I have symptoms of Coronavirus before or during the holiday?

I advise that if you display any symptoms 2 weeks prior to your start date, you must not travel.  You must let me know as soon as possible so that I can cancel your bookings.  If you develop symptoms whilst on holiday, you must terminate your holiday and return home immediately.  I am on hand to help, but I cannot be held responsible for any travel costs incurred during this time.

Can I claim on insurance?

I recommend you take out travel insurance.  There is now special Covid-19 travel insurance which may allow you to claim should you have to cancel your holiday.

How will my holiday differ from usual?

Accommodation providers have now put in place strict Covid restrictions, and you can rest assured they do all that is necessary to make sure you stay with them is safe and secure.  

Breakfasts may be staggered or you may have to have a continental breakfast in your room.  It will very much depend on Government guidelines.

Evening meals ā€“ bookings are generally still required at the pubs and restaurants (information about this will be in your pack, or I will have pre-booked a table for you)

Luggage transport ā€“ our luggage transport company have put in place their own measures to keep contact to a minimum, with luggage handles being sanitised and constant sanitising of hands before touching luggage.

It may be too late and you may have booked elsewhere in the meantime (!), but if you are happy to wait, I will definitely come back to you after 22nd February.
